The Exhibition - 12-15 September

Whilst the world’s largest arms fair is selling weapons at the ExCel Centre, Art the Arms Fair will be highlighting the inhumanity of the arms trade through an art exhibition.

Art created at the Day of Creative Action, work that has been sent by artists across the UK, and art from the local community will be exhibited. The art works will be for sale to support the work of Campaign Against Arms Trade.

When:

11am to 7pm, Tuesday 12- Friday 15 September.

Where:

SET Space, 7th Floor, Capstan House, Clove Crescent, London, E14 2BA

Directions:

Nearest DLR is East India, and Capstan House is across the footbridge. SET is on the 7th Floor, Capstan House: use the right hand lift shaft. Enter the floor through Door 1 and turn right for the project space.
Entry: Free – no booking necessary.

The Day of Creative Action - 9 September
On the 9th September 2017 at 10:00am we will begin a mass, outdoor, art event. Artists will arrive at the site of the arms fair in East London armed with canvases, clay, and their creativity to Art the Arms Fair. All forms of art and artists welcome, from painting to performance, sculptors to satirists.

10am to 4pm, Saturday 9 September

Where:

Excel East Roundabout, Royal Albert Way, London, E16 1RH

Directions:

Nearest Tube Prince Regent DLR. There will be people on hand to direct you.

All work produced on the day will be taken to a nearby gallery to be shown alongside donated art works for an exhibition coinciding with the DSEI Arms Fair, 12th-15th September 2017. The art works will be sold and all proceeds will go to Campaign Against Arms Trade.

There will be a variety of performance art happening thoughout the evening, otherwise the gallery will be open as usual.

A night of comedy as part of Art the Arms Fair in association with Quantum Leopard, London’s cult indie-comedy night. A tip-top line-up of smashing comedy lovelies who love punchlines as much as they hate the arms trade.
